Academy Members
If you are a Teacher or Student of the Montreal Academy of Music, you
are eligible for an “Academy Member” membership.
This membership will give you access to special discounts and bonuses,
educational rates on a variety of products and access to name brand
instruments, otherwise not visible on the store.
To apply for your membership, simply sign up as a user in the “Customer
Login” box and select “Academy Member” in the membership selection box.
Once you have submitted your request you will instantly become a user.
However, only once we have approved your membership status, you will
receive a notification email of your approved membership.
Once you Login as an Academy Member, a “Members Only” category will
appear in the categories menu. View this category to enjoy special
promotions, rates and our Academy Member limited access to a variety of
Instruments and Pro Audio equipment.
Please Note: Only Academy teachers and student are eligible for this
offer.

Shipping Policies
We offer free shipping on most orders over $199
Shipping Policies and rates are for CANADA Only.
Purchase amount is calculated before all applicable taxes.
Please note that large packages such as P.A. systems, amps and cabinets,
drum sets and cabinet or digital pianos may require additional shipping
charges; see product description page or shopping cart.
Package size is calculated per item – not order! Therefore, if an item
ships for free, for example a certain guitar, 10 of these guitars will also ship for free!
Free shipping does not apply to “Beyond Point” areas; including, but not
limited to, ALL of the Northern Territories (Nunavut, Yukon and
Northwest Territories and ANY other areas dictated by our Couriers
(Purolator/FedEx).
Our Guarantee
All Items will be shipped via FedEx, Purolator or Canada Post.
All Items will ship INSURED
If your item was damaged during shipping you will be able to claim
insurance from the courier company.
Please note that the shipping contract is passed on to you upon our
delivery to the carrier.
Shipping Time
- Verified orders typically ship within 24 hours of order placement.
- Most items will arrive in just 3-7 business days
- To make sure you get your gear as quickly as possible, your order may
arrive in multiple boxes over multiple days, but you will not be charged
more for shipping as a result.
- In case of delays in processing or shipping, we will notify you by
phone or email.

Backordered Items
In case of a backorder item, we will contact you by email with an
estimated arrival date.
You will have the option of waiting for the next available shipment,
exchange your item or cancel your order. |
Special Orders
1. Can’t find what you’re looking for?
In general, if we carry products from a specific manufacturer, we can
special order other products from them as well. To inquire about special
ordering an item, email our product support department.
Please note that special orders are subject to the following conditions:
- Special orders are non-returnable unless the item is defective. In the
case of a defect, it will be exchanged for the same item.
- Special orders are billed at the time the order is placed.
- Special orders cannot be canceled once they have been placed.
- Special order items may take up to 10 business days to process.
2. Custom shop Instruments
Custom shop Instruments are also considered Special Orders and will be
marked as such in the product description page. On average, custom shop
items take 2-4 months for delivery, but that may differ depending on the
specific manufacturer. |
Order procedure and Confirmation
Verification process;
All orders are subject to a 24hr verification delay while we confirm
your billing information with your financial institution. This is to
protect our customers from credit card fraud, and identity theft.
To help expedite this process, please ensure that the billing address
and phone number you have given us, matches what is on file with your
financial institution. |
Order Changes/Cancellations
If you wish to modify your order or cancel it, please contact our
customer service department.
Since most orders require a 24h processing time, you may use this time
to correct or cancel your order.

Product Support
We offer product support for both Instruments and pro audio gear. If you
have questions concerning an item in the store, please write our product
support department. Our product support team will be happy to assist
you.
Choosing an Instrument
Our product support team will also be happy to help and guide you
towards purchasing the right Instrument or audio equipment to best suit
your needs. If you are not sure which instrument to get, please email us
a short description of what it is you are looking for, and we’ll be
happy to provide you with the best suitable options.

Warranty
Le Magasin de L’Académie is an authorized dealer for all the brands we
carry.
All brand new items come with a manufacturers’ warranty.
For proof of purchase for warranty work, you will need your original
invoice that was included with your shipment. Please be sure to hold on
to this Invoice should you ever need it.
Most manufacturers have online product registration through their web
sites.
Some items may include a manufacturers’ warranty card. We strongly
recommend filling out and sending this card to the manufacturer as soon
as you receive your item.
Should your instrument require warranty repairs covered by the
manufacturer, please contact our customer service department. We will
take care of warranty evaluation and repair. The customer will be
responsible for shipping charges to and from Le Magasin de L’Académie.
You may also choose to take the instrument to the local authorized
repair facility and have the warranty repairs done there.
